The mission of the Time Exchange of the North Shore (TENS) is to build community through neighbors helping neighbors, exchanging skills and talents.
TENS is a service exchange networking organization where our members exchange services with each other hour for hour. We are building a better community and we want you to join us!
At TENS, we value time, not money. Every hour of service earns one time dollar that can then be spent to receive an hour of service. All services are valued equally, after all, we all only have twenty-four hours in a day, so everyone’s time is a precious commodity. Through these exchanges, TENS is redefining traditional work by valuing the work that is required to revitalize neighborhoods, caring for each other, and being engaged in community activities.
